Nether Wallop Mill has been the home of Fishing Breaks for twenty years. Nestling at the head of the Test valley, beside the burbling Wallop Brook and with a gin-clear lake full of eager trout this is the perfect place for all the family to share the excitement of that first ever trout.
We know that inspiring children takes something out of the ordinary and we think we have just that at The Mill. Not only is it truly beautiful, but the fish in the lake will have them captivated from the very first moment you arrive. And we don’t just fish: we look at the bug life, the wildlife and though you’ll hate it, they will absolutely love gutting the catch!
The Mill is set up solely for private tuition and small groups so you will have exclusive use. The facilities are first class; easy car parking, a thatched oak fishing cabin with a veranda that overlooks the lake, a lounge, kitchenette and lavatory. All the tackle is supplied, and we even have every size of Wellington boot if you need to borrow a pair.
Nether Wallop is easy to reach, just over an hour from the M25. The local market town of Stockbridge (4 miles) is a good place to stay or visit, with a host of local shops, places to eat, four pubs to stay at and one hotel. It is also the ‘fly fishing capital’ of England with a famous fishing history, two fishing tackle shops and the River Test flowing alongside the High Street where you can feed the fish.
